The word has come down from the new management: 'A Prairie Home Companion', a radio show broadcasting for many years, has reached its end. Tonight marks the final performance of the show in front of a live audience. As the cast argues amongst themselves whether to do anything special on their final evening, the host, Garrison Keillor, continues on as he has for many years. Despite the show's musical performances generally running without a hitch, odd things are happening behind the scenes. A mysterious woman in white has been observed wandering around backstage. Could she be the network 'hatchet man' sent to announce the show's end, or someone else entirely?
